Academy Awards unveils Chris Rock as Next Year’s Host

Hollywood comedian, Chris Rock has been unveiled as the host of next year’s Academy Awards ceremony, for the second time.

The 50-year-old comedian and actor, who previously hosted the Oscars back in 2005, confirmed the news with a tweet, expressing happiness over the opportunity to host what has been termed as the biggest night in Hollywood.

Rock will now join the select list of celebrities who have hosted the awards show twice in their careers in the recent past.

The 88th annual Academy Awards will be held in Hollywood on February 28th 2016.
