Adokie Amasimaka Stadium has been picked as venue for the 2017 AFCON qualifier match between Sierra Leone and Cote D’Ivoire.

The Adokie Amasimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt has been picked as venue for the 2017 AFCON qualifier match between Sierra Leone and Cote D’Ivoire.

The Nigeria Football Federation had earlier concluded arrangements for the tie at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos, but a letter from the Ivorienne Federation over concerns of playing on artificial turf necessitated the change to Port Harcourt.

Meanwhile, reigning Champions-the Elephants of Cote D’Ivoire are expected to fly into and out of Port Harcourt aboard a Chartered Plane, while the Sierra Leone delegation of 33 Persons will fly into Port Harcourt this evened aboard a Commercial Airline.
