Akwa Ibom State government to flag off construction of Nduetong Oku – Ibiaku Uruan Road

Akwa Ibom State government says all arrangements have been concluded for official flag off of construction of Mbiaya Uruan – Idu as well as Nduetong Oku – Ibiaku Uruan Road in Uruan Local Government Area tomorrow, Wednesday.
The Commissioner for Works who disclosed this while briefing newsmen in Uyo, the state capital said work will be accentuated to get the project delivered at scheduled interval soon after the flag-off.
According to Inyang-eyen, the contract which has a feature of forty meters span bridge and a spur to Planet FM, Ibiaku Uruan, is awarded to two contractors to ease the pace of the work.

When asked what the duration of the project execution was, the commissioner explained that 18 to 24 months suffice to complete the project, adding that the government would do everything to ensure substandard work is avoided in the construction, considering the difficult topography of the road.

Our correspondent, Anthony Esin reports that the works commissioner further explained that work was already in top gears at the four kilometers Ekid Itam – Mbiaya Road also in the area which was earlier awarded to Trident Construction Company.
