The Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District, Buruji Kashamu, has urged Nigerians, especially Muslims, to learn to give and take as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir .
This, he said, would stimulate selflessness and teamwork, in the spirit of the season.
In a statement by his media aide, Austin Oniyokor, he said the importance of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration was not in the merriment, but to enable the Muslims imbibe the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim.
Kashamu urged Nigerians to make the necessary sacrifices to sustain the communal spirit and the country’s unity by absorbing the spirit of generosity, compromises and concessions.
He advised all faithful to not just exchange gifts and pay visits during the Sallah, but to also sustain the gestures beyond the season.
