Federation Cup final to hold in September.

The final of the 2015 Federation Cup for Men and Women category will hold by September ending after the All Africa Games in Brazaville, Congo.

Making this known to the press today in Abuja, Secretary General of the NFF, Mohammed Sanusi said that the organizing will meet in a few days to decide on a new date and venue for the final

Sanusi explained that the Nigeria Men and Women teams to the All Africa Games are scheduled to depart for Congo on the same day earlier fixed for the final being August 30th, and players from the final teams need be in camp for the games.

According to Sanusi, the organizing committee headed by 1st Vice President Seyi Akinwunmi will pick a date which will be after the All Africa Games and towards the end of the month.

Akwa United and Lobi Stars will battle for the Men’s gong while Bayelsa Queens and Sunshine Queens contest for the Women’s title.

Meanwhile, World Football Governing Body FIFA has announced the appointment of NFF President Amaju Pinnick as a member of the Organizing Committee for the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup finals will be staged in Korea Republic.
