Governor Udom Emmanuel charges citizens to imbibe the spirit of brotherhood

Akwa Ibom State governor Udom Emmanuel has explained that the concept of the Dakakda campaign is a charge to the people to arise and take up the responsibility of ensuring that the state has reached a point where God has destined and to rise above ethnicity and partisanship in the spirit of brotherhood.

The state governor who stated this during the 28th anniversary celebration of the state and the official launch of the Dakkada campaign held at the Godswill Akpabio International stadium, Uyo said it is a call to moral transformation, spiritual rebirth and re-orientation which is aimed at charting a new course for the people and the generation unborn.

He urged the people to always imbibe the spirit of the Dakkada concept and to corporate with his administration to achieve the lofty programs he has rolled out since he assumed office and appealed to the detractors to shun all acts capable of destroying the state as unity is the key to greatness as enshrined in the Dakkada philosophy.

Marking the state’s anniversary, the governor who disclosed that more youths will commence training in photography and film production,  assured that his administration will not relent in its drive to take the state to an enviable height of industrialisation noting that his projects are aimed at empowering the youths massively.

 

Government House correspondent Oto-Obong Billy reports that as part of activities marking the state’s anniversary, the state governor performed the symbolic planting of seeds of Belief to kick-start the Dakkada campaign.
