Akwa Ibom State Governor Udom Emmanuel has expressed his readiness to partner with the Institute of Chartered accountants of Nigeria-ICAN to ensure that people are trained into becoming professional accountants.
The Governor who stated this when he hosted the organization led by its 52nd national president, Deacon Titus Soetan to a dinner at the government house, Uyo, called on all accountants in the country to uphold the tenets of their profession and and rise to protect their brand.
While assuring ICAN of his support in ensuring that the state secretariat of the body is brought into reality,Governor Emmanuel advocated the need for people to change their mindset and work together for the overall growth of the nation.
Government House correspondent Jane Uwa reports that the ICAN president, Titus Soetan in his speech, applauded the Governor for his infrastructural development in the state and sued for support and prayers for Governor Emmanuel in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
