In its drive to protect the right of every Akwa Ibom citizen, the state governor, Udom Emmanuel has directed his legal team to follow up a case of late Idongesit Udoh who was murdered by a police officer in Lagos on the 16th of September this year.
Special Assistant to the governor on legal matters, Barrister Andem Andem who spoke to newsmen said the governor who immediately reacted to the report, directed his legal team to follow up on the case and ensure that the culprit, police officer Muslin Aremu is brought to book
Andem explained that the governor who has made it clear that the interest of the people is his top priority added that the Governor has offered financial support to the deceased husband pending when other packages including scholarship would be extended to the family
Our Correspondent, Oto-Obong Billy reports that the deceased husband, Sunday Udoh, thanked the state government for their prompt intervention noting that it has given him a sense of belonging
Sunday Udoh who was also shot on the jaw at the scene that led to the death of his wife, is left with four children.
