Governor Udom tasks NYSC members on integrity as they take part in 2019 elections

Akwa Ibom State Governor Udom Emmanuel has charged the National Youth Service Corps-NYSC members to bring their integrity to bear in the discharge of responsibilities assigned to them during the 2019 general elections.

Governor Emmanuel who gave the charge when he declared closed the 2018 batch C stream 2 NYSC orientation course for Akwa Ibom and Rivers States Corps members, held at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Nsit Atai Local Government Area, urged the Corps members to focus more attention on the development of entrepreneurial skills inorder to become self reliant.

Earlier in his farewell speech, the state Coordinator of NYSC, Oluwole Amosun who appreciated the Governor for his benevolence towards the Corps members, further urged the Corps members to remain focused despite the challenges ahead as they carry out their compulsory one year national assignment.

Meanwhile in a chat with planet News, some of the NYSC members who recounted their three weeks experience at the camp, however pledged to put in their best at their various places of primary assignment.

Government house correspondent Jane Uwa reports that a total of two thousand and five Corps members participated in the Orientation Course out of which one thousand one hundred and eighty eight members would carryout their primary assignments in Akwa Ibom while eight hundred and seventeen members have been deployed to Rivers State for their primary assignments.
