Ibom Angels will take on defending champions Rivers Angels in the grand finale of the 2017 Women’s Aiteo Cup today at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos, Plateau State.
Edwin Okon’s tutored Rivers Angels defeated Bayelsa Queens 6-2 on aggregate to book a place in the final while Ibom Angels beat Abia Angels 3-2 to make it to the cup final for the first time in their history.
The Portharcourt will put behind their performance at the just concluded Nigeria Women Premier League Super 4 tournament where they managed just a point in Benin suffering 2 defeats and a draw.
However, with the highest goal scorer in the women league, Charity Reuben in his fold, Coach Ogbonda Whyte will strive to make history by winning the cup for the first time for the Uyo-based side.
