The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has announced it will no longer honor American actor and singer Kevin Spacey with the 2017 International Emmy Founders Award in the wake of the sexual allegations made against him.
The Academy in a statement said it will no longer hand Spacey the award for being ”one of the great multi-dimensional talents” due to the sexual controversies surrounding him.
The ‘House of Cards’ star – who has been accused by actor Anthony Rapp of making a sexual advance towards him when he was just 14-years-old in 1986 – was due to be honoured by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for his longstanding career before the cancellation by the organizers.
