Jubilation Trails Reappointment of Rector, Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron

There is jubilation galore in ORO nation over the reappointment of Amb(Dr) Joshua Okpo by President Muhammadu Buhari for a second term of four years.
The president General of Oro Union, Engr. Asukwo Inuikim, international president of Essu Nlap Oro (supreme council of Oro nation youths) chief Asukwo Enwieme, a former member of Akwa Ibom State Scholarship Board, Chief Antigha Isong, described the decision of Mr president on the reappointment of Joshua Okpo as the best thing that has happened to the maritime industry.
The Oro sons noted with deep satisfaction, the impressive strides Dr. Joshua Okpo’s administration had record in the Academy in the last four years as evident in the massive infrastructural development dotting the landscape of the Academy .They expressed optimism that his reappointment will consolidate on his sustained development in the premier Maritime institution, and catapult it to its apogee of greatness.
Also speaking, the Chairman of VINCI Group ,Chief Victor Mathew said the second coming of Joshua Okpo will reposition the Cadets of the Academy for global competitiveness.
Chief Mathew recalled that Okpo had upped the ante of performance in every sector of the Academy ,trained staff for improved service delivery, and empowered the youths of Oro on various skills programmes.
On his part, Elder Edet Okpo, the Media Consultant to the Academy, hinted that prior to the first appointment of Amb. Dr. Joshua Okpo as Rector, the Academy has had the history of perennial infrastructural deficit, occasioned by paucity of funds, and lack of synergy between the government in power
