The Al-Nusra Front has announced its capture of a major airbase in northwestern Syria after a two-year siege by the group.
The group also disclosed their killing of at least 100 government forces and capturing of 60 others, in addition to a large quantity of weapons.
Reports say the army garrison that controlled the military airport, which has been under siege for almost two years by rebels in the Idlib province, had been evacuated.
The Nusra Front is part of the Fattah Army, a coalition of rebel groups which took control of Idlib city in March.
Meanwhile, analysts have described the loss of the base to the group as a blow to the Syrian government.
