The Federal Government has released 3.5 billion naira for this year’s vaccination excersice.
The spokesman of the vice president, Laolu Akande, who disclosed this to journalists after a meeting of the National Economic Council, said the vaccination was against such communicable diseases as polio, measles, diphtheria, influenza, hepatitis B, pneumococcus and rotavirus.
The NEC also set up a committee whose membership comprises the governors of Kwara, Kaduna, Abia, Ogun, Edo and Adamawa States to work on industrialisation process.
The committee is to monitor the implementation of the recommendations to address the eight key issues including improving broadband penetration in the country, resolving multiple taxation, facilitating access to land, providing security for investments and standardizing regulatory requirements.
