Nigeria faces Mozambique in quarterfinal of the 2015 AfroBasket Women Championship today in Yaounde.

After qualifying as the highest scoring side in the group stage, Nigeria’s national female basketball team D’Tigress will today face Mozambique in the quarterfinal of the 2015 AfroBasket Women Championship holding in Yaounde, Cameroon.

Mozambique will be seeking a revenge for the defeat they suffered at the hands of Nigeria in the semifinal of the 2013 AfroBasket championship.

D’Tigress finished the group stage second behind Cameroon in the comparative chart, scoring 402 points and conceding 285. Nigeria were second in Group B behind Angola, who beat them in their first game. The Nigerian girls went on to win their remaining four matches in their group.

In the other quarterfinal games, hosts Cameroon, who have remained unbeaten after five matches, will face Egypt; Gabon, who were fourth in Group A will face Angola; and it will be a test of strength between Senegal and Mali.
