Nigeria will face perennial rivals Ghana in the final of the WAFU B 2019 Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tournament following a 2-1 win against hosts Niger in their semi-final clash at the Seyni Koutnche Stadium, Niamey.
Earlier, 10-man Black Starlets of Ghana rallied from a goal down to beat Cote d’lvoire 2-1 and booked their spot in the final.
The final will be played on Saturday at the Seyni Koutnche Stadium, Niamey.
The winner of the competition will qualify for the 2019 CAF Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Tanzania.
IN ANOTHER NEWS – Akwa Starlets resumed their Nigeria National League campaign with a one nil victory against Bayelsa United at the training pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium Uyo.
Speaking after the match, the coach of the team, Godfrey Esu said he and his boys are focused in the league, adding that promotion into the Nigeria Professional Football League remains the target of the team.
