In recognition of his sterling leadership qualities, contributions and selfless service to God, the CEO, Semek Group of companies, Nsentip Akpabio has been commissioned as the Divisional Envoy of the Salvation Army, Akwa Ibom South West Division.
Akpabio, who until his new commissioning, has been an Assistant Young People Sergeant Major, and in addition to the new rank of office, was also honored as the Pillar of the Division at the 15th anniversary celebration and award service of the church, held at the divisional headquarters in Abak local government area.
In his homily, the Divisional Commander, Major Ezekiel Akpan, who took his sermon from 1st Peter chapter 4 verse 19, stressed that God’s love and mercy is always available to those who serve him with faithfulness and with humility of heart, as God never ceases to reward the good works of man.
The new Divisional Envoy after being commissioned and presented expressed gratitude to God and the leadership of the Salvation Army for finding him worthy of the new office which he described as another opportunity to invest in God’s Kingdom and promised to do more in the capacity of Envoy.
Correspondent Okodi Okodi reports that 15 Junior and Senior Soldiers each were enrolled into the division, just as awards were presented in categories including, Posthumous, Distinguished Service, Pillar of the Division, Ambassadors of the Division and Friends of the Army awards.
