Senator representing Uyo Senatorial District Bassey Albert to hold constituency briefing

Preparations are in top gear for the Constituency Briefing and Empowerment Programme of Senator Bassey Albert, the Senator representing Uyo Senatorial District in the National Assembly, scheduled to hold on Friday, April 20 at the Uyo Township Stadium.

Addressing newsmen in Uyo the state capital ahead of the event, Senator Albert who was accompanied by the members of the Central Planning Committee for the event as well as political stakeholders from the senatorial District said the empowerment programme would serve as succor to his constituents especially the needy ones.

Earlier, the Central Planning Committee Chairman for the event, Prince Enobong Uwah, disclosed that at least 3,000 persons selected across the Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District and beyond are to benefit, adding that the beneficiaries were carefully selected among the indigent individuals.

On his part, the State NUJ Chairman, who heads the Media and Publicity Sub-Committee noted that the event is going to be the mother of all constituency briefings, describing it as a home coming of a great son of the state.

Meanwhile, Our correspondent Anthony Esin reports that, the empowerment programme tagged, ‘Celebrating God’s Faithfulness’ has officially commenced with commissioning of projects executed by the Senator in the Nine Local Government Areas in the Senatorial District with those sited in Uyo federal Constituency today Tuesday, tomorrow Wednesday for the commissioning of projects in local government areas in Etinan Federal Constituency and that of Itu/Ibiono Ibom Federal Constituency scheduled for Thursday.
