Senegalese film “Félicité,” took home seven awards from the 13th African Movie Academy Awards held at the EKO Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The movie which tells the story of a woman who sings in a bar in Kinshasa, dazzled movie fans at the awards, carting away awards for the Best Actress, Best Actor in a supporting role and Best film among others.
Nigeria’s Akin Omotoso won the best director award for his work in “Vaya”. Ace Nollywood comedy actor, Nkem Owoh also received a Lifetime Achievement Award while “76” won the Lagos State Best Nigerian film award.
The event was hosted by Nollywood Actor Nse Ikpe Etim.
