The Flying Eagles, through to the final round of the Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers

Nigeria’s Under-20 team, the Flying Eagles, are through to the final round of the Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers after they edged out Guinea Bissau 1-0 in the second leg of their tie at the UJ Esuene Stadium to advance 3-2 on aggregate.

Adamu AlHassan scored from the penalty spot in the 58th minute to hand the Flying Eagles the win after Wasiu Aladade was fouled in the penalty box. The Nigerian side had a week ago played out a 2-2 draw in the first leg tin Guinea Bissau.

The Flying Eagles will now face Mauritania in the final qualifying round of the qualifiers.
