The Peace Corps of Nigeria (PCN) has called on President Buhari to prevail on the IGP Idris, to unseal its corporate headquarters

The Peace Corps of Nigeria (PCN) has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to prevail on the Inspector-General of Police Idris, to urgently unseal its corporate headquarters, in line with various court orders to that effect.

This was even as the Corps claimed it had secured over 15 valid court judgements against the Police and other security agencies in Nigeria and that none had been appealed against.

National headquarters of the Peace Corps of Nigeria, has been under lock and key by the Police since February 28, 2017, the day the office was officially launched.

Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, the National Commandant of PCN, Dickson Akoh, said his group remained a non-confrontational and law abiding organisation and has explored all lawful means, including seeking political solutions to its ordeal, but to no avail.

Akoh claimed that the organisation pays as much as 13.5million naira rent annually on the sealed office.
