Vice President Yemi Osinbajo says proper coordination and strengthening of capacity of Civil Society Organisations are key to the success of rehabilitation and resettlement of Internally Displaced Persons- IDPs.
Speaking while declaring open a two-day northeast humanitarian stakeholders engagement in Maiduguri, the vice president stated that the civil society community has done so much in supporting both the federal and states government through funding and humanitarian services.
Osinbajo disclosed that the Federal Government will soon unfold the plan to aid existing and new civil society organisations especially those in the north eastern part of the country to further assist it in the fight against insurgents and terrorists groups.
The Vice President also commended the state Governor Kashim Shettima and the people of Borno state for resisting the terrorists groups.
