The West African Examinations Council, WAEC has released results of over 200,000 candidates in the 13 indebted states whose results were withheld.
Release of the results was sequel to the promised made on Wednesday by the WAEC, Head National Office in Lagos, Charles Eguridu at Abuja during a press briefing that the withheld results will be released within 24 hours.
Speaking with reporters, the Head, Public Relations of the body in Nigeria, Ari Yusuf, said the Council is satisfied with the intervention of the Nigerian Governors Forum- NGF, to ensure governors of those indebted 13 states pay their debts.
However, WAEC had earlier vowed to withhold indefinitely results of the 13 states owing the Council, saying the NGF had promised to hold a meeting with the affected states governors to recover the money.
