APC aspirant in Oron, Robinson Edumoh vows to resist alleged attempt to rob him of his victory

An All Progressives Congress – APC aspirant for Oron Federal Constituency seat in the forthcoming elections, Prince Robinson Edumoh, has vowed to resist in totality the alleged attempt to substitute his name with that of Victor Antai, as winner of the APC House of Representatives primaries held last Wednesday.

Addressing a press conference in Uyo, Prince Edumoh said he was in the contest for the party’s ticket against four other aspirants in which he polled highest number of vote cast and was accordingly declared winner of the contest.

While pledging to adopt tenable constitutional mechanism to reclaim his mandate, he alleged that the former senate minority leader, Godswill Akpabio, was behind the plot to rob him of the mandate by imposing the former commissioner for culture and tourism, Victor Antai, on the people.

Our correspondent Anthony Esin reports that the 2nd Vice President General of Oro Union, Dr Edet Ambang who also spoke during the briefing said the union would not condone what he called such illegality and injustice.

It would be recalled that supporters of Prince Edumoh had on Friday staged a massive protest across local government areas in Oro nation appealing to the national working committee of the party to ensure Edumoh is retained as the duly nominated candidate of the party for the position.
