The death toll from multiple quakes and a tsunami in Indonesia’s Central Sulawesi province has risen to 1,424.
Head of the planning department of the National Search and Rescue Office, Abdul Haris said the search and rescue operation was hampered by poor access to the hardest-hit areas.
According to him, the death toll is expected to rise as there are reports that hundreds of people are still trapped under the ruins.
