The ongoing construction work at the Eket Township Stadium embarked upon by the Akwa Ibom State government is to be completed before the end of the year.

Confirming this when Planet News visited the site, one of the site Engineers, Bassey Akpan said work was in advance stage in the fifteen thousand capacity stadium, assuring that with the ongoing pace, the stadium should be completed and delivered before the end of the year.

While dismissing the rumor that the stadium was only being renovated, he explained that the structure was a new project from foundation.
