Former APC members set brooms ablaze in northern Uruan Ward 2

Northern Uruan Ward 2 Support Group for Governor Udom Emmanuel ended its three-day long sensitization campaign on the need to support Governor Udom, with former All Progressives Congress – APC members in their hundreds setting brooms ablaze in show of solidarity to the People’s Democratic Party – PDP.

At the grand finale of the three-day event at Ibiaku Uruan, chairman Northern Uruan Ward 2 Support Group, Barrister Aniefiok Ukpe, after laying bare basic truths about the efforts of the Udom administration in support of the Uruan community, amongst other members of the group who spoke, awakened the consciousness of the APC faction of the crowd who submitted their brooms for arson.

During their speeches, the decampees, while admitting that all their past actions were motivated by their search for a listening ear to their needs, said the road constructions commenced by the Udom Emmanuel administration in their area made them realise that the governor had their interest at heart.

Meanwhile, the village head of Ibiaku Uruan, Chief Akpan-udoh Adah, while earlier giving his blessings to the cause of the group, pointed out that Ibiaku Uruan is big and needs restructuring in terms of allocation of wards.
