Governor Udom Emmanuel receives support from Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel has received a re-affirmation of support from a foremost socio-cultural organization in the state, the Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, MMI, to retain the mantle of leadership beyond 2019.

Governor Emmanuel who obtained the re-affirmation when the newly installed International President of the MMI, Akparawa Patrick Udofia, led members of the organization on a solidarity visit to him at the Hilltop Mansion, Government House, Uyo, appreciated the organization for the visit, saying that it was an indication that he could count on their support at all times.

While also lauding former Governor Obong Victor Attah for demonstrating the need to put a traditional structure in place which led to the emergence of the Oku Ibom Ibibio, the governor commended other eminent elders for peacefully working to support the step towards boosting traditional leadership.

Earlier, the International President of the organisation, Akparawa Udofia, who acknowledged that Governor Emmanuel’s administration has performed creditably in the past years, said the organization was on a solidarity visit to him to strengthen him with the assurance of fully backing him to achieve his second term aspirations.
