Governor Udom Emmanuel tasks newly sworn in chairmen on selfless service

AKWA IBOM state Governor, Udom Emmanuel has charged the newly inaugurated chairmen of the 31 local government areas of the state to align with his vision of ensuring that the material circumstances of the people are improved, while also rousing them to the dakaada philosophy in order to claim the greatness of the state.
Speaking shortly after administering the oath of allegiance and office to the new chairmen and their vice, Udom who urged them not to fail the people and the confidence they reposed on them by electing them, called on the chairmen to impact meaningfully on the lives of the people.

While commending the immediate past Transition Chairmen for their service to the State, the chief executive officer urged the newly inaugurated to be prudent and responsible in the discharge of their duties and not see their new offices as an avenue for immediate self-gratification.

Udom who announced the chairman of Eket Local Government Area, Frank Archibong, as the new Chairman of the Association of local governments of Nigeria-ALGON, assured the leaders of the third tier of government of his administration’s continuous support and partnership to ensure that the dividends of democracy are delivered to the people.
Government House correspondent Jane Uwa reports that the some of the chairmen who spoke with newsmen after their swearing in, appreciated the people of Akwa Ibom for believing in them and pledged their readiness to key into the vision of the Udom Emmanuel led government in rendering selfless service to the people.
