Over one thousand five hundred patients are to benefit from the 4th edition of Hensek Integrated Services free medical outreach in partnership with Nigeria Medical Association-NMA Akwa Ibom State chapter.
The five day event which started on Monday, October 22 at the General Hospital in Ikot Abasi will end on Friday, October 26.
Speaking during the official flag off of the week long free medical outreach, the managing director of Hensek Integrated Services, Engineer Uwem Okoko who enumerated the impact the outreach has created since its commencement said he was moved to sponsor the outreach in order to improve the quality of lives of people within and outside Ikot Abasi.
State Chairman of NMA, Dr. Nsikak Nyoyoko while thanking Hensek for the partnership which also marks the 2018 Physician Week, gave progress report recorded in the first two days of the outreach adding that the free health service has been expanded to accommodate more patients and assured that before Friday all the cases registered would be successfully handled.
On their part, the beneficiaries who were diagnosed and treated of various ailments, thanked Engineer Okoko for the free medical outreach.
Our Correspondent, Bassey Ibiatisuho reports that the medical and surgical outreach which was flagged off by the Paramount Ruler of Ikot Abasi local government area, Edidem Udo Ntuk-Obom had in attendance the chairman of the council, David Eshiet, Federal Commissioner of Public Complaint Commission Shelly Okoko, House member representing the area in the state house of assembly, Uduak Ududo, members of Nigeria Society of Engineers among others.
