The Ibom Specialist Hospital has re-opened for full medical services following the commissioning of Clinotech Group Canada by the Akwa Ibom State Government as the new operator of the hospital located at Ekit Itam 2, along Uyo Ikot Ekpene Road.
Speaking with PLANET NEWS during a brief ceremony to signal formal re-opening of the hospital, President and CEO of Clinotech, Doctor Harrison Ofiyai said the hospital is well-equipped with high standard technology for diagnostic and investigative medicine, adding that the hospital aims to provide full out-patient clinics for all specialties.
According to the doctor, the hospital has put in place Quality Risk Management System to boost confidence of patients locally and internationally with a view to promoting the facility as a centre for medical tourism.
The state government was represented at the event by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Technical Matters, Uffot Ebong who said that Clinotech Group succeeded in taking over the facility out of about ten companies that opted for the opportunity due to their outstanding record in medical services.
Our correspondent Anthony Esin reports that the specialists at the hospital comprises a Neurosurgeon, Professor Murat Goksel; a Radiologist, Doctor Safiye Ziyalan; Urologist, Doctor Mert Altiriel; and a Paediatric Surgeon, Dr. Mustapha Akman. Other members of the management team include, Engineers Hazil Sahir, Sabau Kauaku and Kenan Alibeyiogh; Director of Finance, I. N. Osemeke; Business Development Manager/Media Relations Officer, Sarah Odoro and Internal Control Officer, Joyce Ofili. ES/COMMERCIAL
