Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani vows to “break” swinging sanctions re-imposed by US

Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani has vowed to “break” swinging sanctions re-imposed by the US targeting core parts of the economy.

The US government is restoring all sanctions lifted under the 2015 nuclear deal in a bid to pressure Iran.

MEANWHILE – South Korea has been granted a waiver from US sanctions on Iranian oil.

The United States said it would temporarily allow eight importers to keep buying Iranian oil after it re-imposed sanctions on the country’s crude flows from today, aiming to force Iran to curb its nuclear missile and regional activities.
