NLC threatens to shut down Nigeria after November 6 strike action

Nigeria Labour Congress-NLC has asked Nigerians to stock up on food as it will soon shut down the entire country.

The NLC who stated this in a communiqué issued at the end of an emergency meeting of its National Executive Council in Abuja, lambasted the government for its ‘no work, no pay’ policy instead of implementing a ‘no-pay-no work’ policy.

In a communiqué signed by the President of the NLC, Ayuba Wabba, and its General Secretary, Doctor Peter Ozo-Eson, the union directed all affiliate unions, and other friends of workers to commence immediate mobilization of their members to show their outrage and mourning in the 36 states of the federation and the FCT on October 30, 2018.
