Odunayo leads Team Nigeria to World Wrestling Championship

World silver medalist, Odunayo Adekuoroye, Commonwealth gold medalists, Blessing Oborodudu and Aminat Adeniyi, and medal hopeful, Blessing Onyebuchi are the four female athletes chosen to take part in this year’s World Wrestling Championship holding in Budapest, Hungary between October 20 and 28.

President of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation, Daniel Igali confirmed that he would leave the country for Budapest today for the Congress on Friday, which precedes the world meet.

IN ATHLETICS – Team Nigeria grabbed her first medal at the ongoing 2018 Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, Argentina when Rosemary Chukwuma ran an impressive race to win gold in the 100 metres event after clocking a time of 11.17 seconds.

Another Nigerian, Alaba Akintola, got a silver medal in men’s 100metres in a time of 10.24 seconds.
