President Muhammadu Buhari has endorsed 30,000 naira as the new national minimum wage.
The president who made the endorsement when he received the report of the Tripartite Committee on the Review of National Minimum Wage at the Presidential Villa, Abuja also promised to send a bill to the National Assembly to effect the change from 18,000 Naira to 30,000 naira.
MEANWHILE: President Buhari has said he was distressed by the killings being witnessed in parts of the country, while calling on all Nigerians to learn to live in peace.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, in a statement said Buhari spoke while receiving leaders of the Church of Christ in Nations at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where he further urged religious, community and traditional leaders to do more in promoting peaceful co-existence among Nigerians, while promising to continue exerting pressure on the Nigeria Police Force to protect lives and property.
