Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has called on the African, Caribbean and Pacific, group of states, ACP, to review existing international regulations as it strives to address terrorism and armed conflict among member -nations.
According to a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, the Vice President spoke while receiving a delegation of ACP comprising its Chairman, Ambassador Amadou Diop; and the Secretary-General , Dr Patrick Gomes , at the Presidential Villa , Abuja.
Osinbajo noted that the ACP has the potential to achieve a lot , especially in the focal areas of climate change, security and economic emancipation.
He commended the leadership of the group for the work done so far and promised to convey their message to President Muhammadu Buhari .
The Vice President , who pledged Nigeria ’s unalloyed support for the ACP , especially in its agenda on climate change and others , urged member -nations to remain united in pursuit of the organisation ’s objectives.
